Singles Draw - Tuesday 6th May 20088-ballview topic in forums
Although the singles draw has been on the Forums for well over a week, some of you have still not seen it.

You should Always check the Forums as they oftem contain more up to date info. than the main site.

To see the singles draw, select Forums from the Horizontal Menu, or Message Board from the Main (Vertical) Menu

Once in the Forums, select The Pool Hall, and once the page has loaded, click on the Singles topic.

You will then be able to download the pdf file containing the 2nd round draw.

Please get into the habit of checking the forums on a regular basis.

For your convenience though, I have included a link to the document from the Singles Draw page on the main site, just click on the
Singles option from the Main (Vertical) Menu.

I have not put the draw as a table on the Singles page as normal because I was not provided with the draw in the correct format as I had requested.

White Horse - Division 2 - dropped out!8-ballview topic in forums

If anybody knows the result of their KO Cup match against the S&W last week, please let me know

thanks

K.O. Cup - Match Format. Important!8-ballview topic in forums
There was an error on The K.O. Cup First Round Draw page when I put it up

I incorrectly said that the match format would be 12 singles, as in a normal league match.

I had confused this with the upcoming 2nd division league cup, which will use a 12 singles frames format.

The K.O. Cup however, will use a 6 Singles, 3 Scotch Doubles format.

The first team to 6 frames will be the winner. If a match is 5-4 after 9 frames, you should play a maximum
of 2 extra singles frames until one team reaches 6 wins.

The K.O. Cup page has now been updated correctly.

Skolars - update8-ballview topic in forums
With immediate effect and until further notice Skolars will play out of Fore Street Snooker Club

If you are due to play them at their home venue in the future, you should go to Fore Street

The Inter League Doubles Competition 1st Round Draw is now available on the main website

click on the Doubles item from the Main Left Hand Menu

This version overrides the previous version that was posted on the Forums

The Skolars Sports Bar is closing down with immediate effect

The Doubles Match that was due to be played there will instead be played at Fore St Snooker Club - Table number 2

The team are trying to arrange an alternate home venue for the rest of the season - please check back for updates

eResults - Working (sort of)8-ballview topic in forums
I've made the eResults form available again

Unfortunately, it only works in Firefox and it doesn't work
in Internet Explorer 7.

It may work in IE6 (I haven't been able to test it)

If you have Firefox installed, you will be able to input your eResults
and should do so now.

There is no New Player included in the drop down player lists

If you have any new players, you must add them via the Team pages
before inputting any eResults.

I will continue to try to fix the problem with IE7, but it will certainly not
be ready before next Monday (17th March) at the very earliest, as I still have
no broadband at home and will have to come into the office over the weekend
to sort it out! sad.gif sad.gif

Summer Break - Outstanding Matches8-ballview topic in forums
There are currently 5 outstanding matches that need to be played:-

CODE
Div 1

M1   - 29th Jan - Sporting Green v Barnet Pool Club
M16 - 10th Jun - Skolars v Sporting Green
Barnet Pool Club v The Hyde

Div 2

M3   - 12th Feb - Royal Flush v Railway
M13 - 20th May - Railway v The Bull

I would suggest that these matches are scheduled for play during the summer break in August
so that we can come back to a fully up to date league in September.

If these matches have not been played by September I think they will have to be allocated an
arbitrary score and maybe even have some penalty imposed as we really cannot allow matches
to be delayed for so long (some go back 6 months) as it upsets the league tables.

The Bird in HandPat Moylesview topic in forums
The Bird in Hand are no longer taking part in the first division. I have had no contact with them, they have never been to a meeting and cannot field a team to play at home never mind away. Therfore I am terminating there involement in the league.
All results will stand for all teams against the Bird in hand and the Elmhurst for the first third of the season only.
All matches after that are nul and void.
Gary/ Martin I would appreciate it if you could amend the results accordingly.
Thanks boys, keep up the good work.
Remaining Fixtures8-ballview topic in forums
Hi folks,

I've put the remaining fixtures Match 16 onwards, sorry for the late input - I hadn't noticed till tonight that there were no more fixtures. sad.gif

Check them over for your team and let me know if there are any errors or overlaps.

How Do You Pee?8-ballview topic in forums
We've all been there, 6 pints into the evening and it's time for your first piss, (usually the 2nd or 3rd for me but that's another story).

So off you go to drain the main vein, having first established that Skinnsy is still in the room. tongue.gif

Your chances of nabbing an empty trap are going to be slim at best, especially if you play in Div 1 wink.gif so you need to pick your urinal and get back to the bar ASAP.

Entering the toilets you are confronted with 6 identical urinals on a large wall, all evenly spaced and gleaming white.

"Sweeeeeeet" you think to yourself as you head towards urinal number...

??
Of course you all know the answer, but let's face it - your average piss artist is unlikely to encounter
the above scenario more than once or twice during his lifetime

So how would you cope with the more 'day to day' challenges of urinal choice faced by us all?

Think you know? Take the Urinal Test

BILLIARDS.com8-ballview topic in forums
I have been contacted by the owner/webmaster of BILLIARDS.com

It is a US based website covering all aspects of the game of Pool.

They have an online store, online Pool games, Forums and perhaps of most interest to our members - a series of articles on how to play.

I have provided a link on our links page and am hoping that they will reciprocate with a link back to us.

Check it out at http://www.billiards.com or visit their Improve Your Game section for some useful tips
